Meet the Principal

I believe it is important for us as a school community to share our stories.  Here is my story:

I have been in education for 26 years.  All my time has been in Pontiac.  I was hired in August of 1996 as a Kindergarten teacher at Bethune Elementary. Prior to that I had done my student teaching through Oakland University at Longfellow Elementary.  In 1997 I moved to Webster Elementary where I started teaching all day Kindergarten.  Taught at Webster until 2006 when the building closed.  I taught Kindergarten and first grade for the next several years at Crofoot.  In 2010 I moved to Peace Academy to begin my preschool career.  I was hired as the principal at Peace in 2018.  I have had an amazing career here in Pontiac.  I am dedicated to the students, their families and my staff.  We have an amazing group of educators here and they are dedicated to the students here.  I can actually say that I have now had students of students that I taught in Kindergarten years ago.  I have been able to maintain relationships with former students and their families and that makes my time here all worthwhile.
